Fun, but not really necessary

This device unlocks four hidden levels in Angry Birds HD (paid app), but you can unlock these same levels just by playing the game long enough. My favorite is the King Piggy mode where the pigs switch roles with the Angry Birds, and you launch piggies to knock down structures filled with eggs.The King Piggie device took a few minutes to figure out because it came with no real instructions. But it's simple enough. Just start the Angry Birds app, place the King Piggy device on you ipad screen, and one of the four hidden game modes will launch. Just remove King Piggy and play.Worth $10? Meh, maybe not, considering the app is what, $3? But I'm not disappointed.

Unlock without Buying the Toy!

We bought this and it works great! There are sensors under the pig and they automatically unlock a special "level" of Angry Birds upon contact: with new game modes. The new level looks like a smiling pig and is found in the Golden Eggs screen. Every time you click the King Pig, you get a random level with a random mode. If you exit the level, your special level is lost forever. However, most of these modes are pretty easy to complete.Four modes:Total Destruction: Use your finger to destruct the level without birds within a ten second time limit! Multi-touch works great!Bird Frenzy: Complete the level in 30-60 seconds using unlimited birds! Not as easy as it sounds: bird selection is random! Sometimes you get good ones, sometimes not.King Pig: Turns birds into pigs! Pigs on the structure turns into the Angry Birds' eggs! Each pig has a different sprite: for example the white bird transforms into a pig with an explosive bowling ball attached!Material Mix-Up: The hardest mode by far! Two materials swap, for example wood turns into stone and stone turns into wood! This can result in some impossible level-layouts. ;)Note: This pig also works for Angry Birds Free HD 1.4.1, so you don't need the full version of the app! If you have a lil kid, mines 5, that is obsessed w/ Angry Birds, you will certainly get an afternoon of peace an quiet out of this when it arrives. Well worth $10 to me, and I think it will be used here and there afterwards, as he waits for more levels/games to be released.
